Hungarian folklore in fashion

A few weeks ago I came across the work of Hungarian fashion designer Renata Gyöngyösi and absolutely fell in love. The pieces that I am sharing with you were recently featured at the Folklore is Alive! exhibit in Prague.

I find these absolutely magical and so Eastern European. The drama! The darkness! The confidence! This is so US you guys! It's making me blush!

For those of you who follow fashion, do you have favorite designers/shows that have drawn inspiration from Eastern European folklore?

  1. Why is a post about Hungarian fashion tagged with pan-slavic eccentricy?
