South, south, SOUTH

mississippi from Petya Kirilova-Grady on Vimeo.

This week has been a blur of the best kind. My conversation with Joanna Brooks had my brain go in emotional overload. I couldn't stop thinking about it: about working through fear, about belonging, about sticking up for each other and claiming your own.

I had several amazing conversations as a result of this... with friends, with my husband, with an another author whose work I admire and will be able to share with you soon. I kept wanting to say more about it and I tried, but I need a little more time to process it.

Tonight Kyle and I go on a little road trip through the Mississippi Delta, you know we love it. The video above is from a little trip we took back in March. We will be staying at strange B'nBs, driving south, south, SOUTH to a town that's apparently too pretty to burn and finishing back up in Oxford, MS where we hope to walk around Rowan Oak again and hopefully spend some valuable time at Square Books.

When we come back, we'll talk.

Have a wonderful weekend!
